What We Believe

Trusting in Jesus the Christ as our Lord and Savior, we believe and follow Scripture as best expressed through the teachings and practices of the Baptists Church and in those great principles for which they stand, namely:

1)  Jesus Christ, the Son of God, as our Lord, Master, and Savior.
2)  The supreme authory of the Bible and its sufficiency as our only rule of faith and practice.
3)  The right of private interpretation and the competecy of the individual soul in direct approach of God.
4)  The absolute separation of Church and State.
5)  A regenerate Church membership, meaning God continues to grow His Church universal, and calls the individual to be active in the local church.
6)  The beautiful symbolic ordinances of Believer's Baptism and the Lord's Table in obedience to the example and commands of Christ.
7)  The complete independence of the local church and its interdependene in associated fellowship with other Baptist churches.
8)  The solemn obligation of majority rule, guaranteeing equal rights to all and special unity of all believers, for which our Lord so earnestly prayed for (John 17:11).
9)  A worldwide and local program of missionary fervor and evangelism in obedience to the final command of Jesus (Matthew 28:19-20).

We, therefore, band ourselves together as a body of baptized believers in Jesus Christ, looking to Jesus as the author and perfector of our faith who calls us to be His disciples, living a life the best we can as Jesus has called us to.
